Establishment of the Centennial Commemoration Project Promotion Committee and Continued Donations to the Development Fund

□ 국립한밭대학교가 2027년 개교 100주년을 앞두고 지난 23일 개교 100주년 기념사업추진위원회를 공식 출범한 가운데 대학의 지속가능한 성장을 바라는 지역의 독지가와 동문들, 기업 등의 대학발전기금 기부가 이어지고 있다.

□ Hanbat National University (President Oh Yong-jun), in preparation for its 100th anniversary in 2027, officially launched the Centennial Commemoration Project Promotion Committee on the 23rd, and since then, donations to the university’s development fund have continued from local benefactors, alumni, and companies who wish for the university’s sustainable growth.

□ 지난 23일에는 개교 100주년 기념사업추진위원회 출범식 직후 최고경영자과정을 수료한 6명의 동문들이 대학본부를 방문해 발전기금을 기부하며 기념사업의 성공적인 추진을 기원했다.

□ On the 23rd, immediately following the launch ceremony of the Centennial Commemoration Project Promotion Committee, six alumni who had completed the university's CEO program visited the university headquarters to donate to the development fund, expressing their hopes for the successful promotion of the centennial project.

 ○ 6명의 동문들은 꽃빛한방병원 이종응 이사장과 디와이솔비타㈜ 김근태 대표, 동아자동차기업㈜ 박종길 대표, 서울바른치과 김신엽 원장, ㈜동국엔지니어링 강재중 대표, 대전광역시씨름협회 박민 회장이며, 이들은 각각 1천만 원과 5백만 원씩 총 4천만원을 기부했다.

 ○ The six alumni—Chairman Lee Jong-eung of Kkotbit Korean Medicine Hospital, CEO Kim Geun-tae of DY Solvita Co., Ltd., CEO Park Jong-gil of Dong-A Automotive Enterprise Co., Ltd., Director Kim Shin-yeop of Seoul Barun Dental Clinic, CEO Kang Jae-jung of Dongguk Engineering Co., Ltd., and Chairman Park Min of the Daejeon City Ssireum Association—donated a total of 40 million won, with individual contributions of 10 million won and 5 million won, respectively.

□ 25일 오전에는 80대 익명의 독지가가 학생들을 위해 써달라며 익명으로 해달라는 뜻과 함께 1억 원을 쾌척했다.

□ On the morning of the 25th, an anonymous benefactor in their 80s generously donated 100 million won, requesting anonymity and that the money be used for the benefit of students.

 ○ 이 독지가는 “국립한밭대학교가 2027년 개교 100주년을 맞이한다는 소식을 들었는데 계속해서 좋은 대학으로 발전하길 바라며, 작은 보탬이지만 학생들에게 도움이 되어 그 학생들이 졸업 후 사회의 유능한 인재로 성장하길 바란다”고 말했다.

 ○ The benefactor said, “I heard that Hanbat National University will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2027. I hope the university continues to grow into an even better institution. Although this is a small contribution, I hope it will support the students and help them grow into talented individuals who will contribute to society after graduation.”

□ 이날 오후에는 외국어 위탁교육 업체인 ㈜글로벌교육원(대표 장재갑)에서도 개교 100주년 기념사업위원회 출범을 축하하며 5백만 원의 발전기금을 후원했다.

□ That afternoon, Global Education Institute Co., Ltd. (CEO Jang Jae-gap), a company specializing in outsourced foreign language education, also contributed 5 million won in development funds to celebrate the launch of the 100th Anniversary Commemorative Project Committee.

□ 국립한밭대 오용준 총장은 감사인사를 전하며, “2년 후면 우리 지역의 국립대학으로는 최초로 개교 100주년을 맞이하게 되는데 지역과 함께 성장해 온 국립한밭대학교가 앞으로 새로운 100년을 준비하며 지역의 혁신 성장을 이끌고 글로벌 인재를 양성하는 글로컬대학으로 도약할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

□ President Oh Yong-jun of Hanbat National University expressed his gratitude, saying, “In two years, Hanbat National University will become the first national university in the region to celebrate its 100th anniversary, and as a university that has grown together with the local community, we will do our utmost to prepare for the next 100 years by driving regional innovation and nurturing global talent as a glocal university.”
