Hanbat National University Enhances Learner-Centered Education through a Short-Term Camp-Style Challenge Semester Extracurricular Program

□ 우리 대학 교육기획실은 지난 6월 24일부터 27일까지 3박 4일간 학생들의 자기주도적 학습 능력 향상을 위한 ‘단기 캠프형 도전학기 비교과 프로그램’을 운영했다고 밝혔다.
□ The Office of Educational Planning at Hanbat National University (President Oh Yong-jun) announced that it conducted the Short-Term Camp-Style Challenge Semester Program from June 24 to 27, a 4-day, 3-night program designed to enhance students’ self-directed learning skills.
○ 본 프로그램에는 재학생 총 32명이 참여했으며, 학생 4명이 1개 팀을 구성해 ‘지역사회문제해결형’, ‘창업도전형’, ‘창의융합형’ 3가지 영역 중에서 팀별로 하나의 프로젝트 주제를 선정하여 수행하는 방식으로 진행됐다.
○ A total of 32 students participated in the program, forming teams of four, with each team selecting one project topic from three categories—“Community Problem-Solving,” “Entrepreneurship Challenge,” and “Creative Convergence”—and carrying out their project accordingly.
○ 이 과정에서 대학은 학생들에게 다양한 학습경험과 체험활동 기회를 제공하고, 학생들은 이를 통해 창의력과 도전정신을 함양할 수 있도록 했다.
○ In this process, the university provided students with various learning experiences and experiential activities, enabling them to develop creativity and a spirit of challenge.
○ 이번 프로그램에 참여한 시각·영상디자인학과 이유진 학생은 “단순히 듣고 외우는 수업과는 전혀 달랐고, 전공 수업에서 깊이 다루기 어려웠던 주제를 팀별 프로젝트를 통해 기획하고 실행한 덕분에 나만의 커리어를 설계하는 시간이 되었다“고 소감을 전했다.
○ Lee Yu-jin, a student from the Department of Visual Communication Design at Hanbat National University, remarked, “It was completely different from traditional lecture-based classes focused on listening and memorization, and thanks to the opportunity to plan and execute team projects on topics not usually covered in depth in major courses, I was able to take time to design my own career path.”
□ 국립한밭대 이성호 교육혁신본부장은 “학생들이 여름방학을 활용하여 도전과 창의력을 증진할 수 있는 기회의 시간을 가졌으며, 수동적이고 획일화된 전통적 방식의 교육과정 한계를 넘어 자기주도적 학습을 통한 학생의 학습권을 확대하고 사회가 요구하는 융·복합형 인재를 양성하는데 중점을 두겠다”고 밝혔다.
□ Lee Seong-ho, Director of the Office of Educational Innovation at Hanbat National University, stated, “Students had the opportunity to enhance their creativity and challenge themselves during the summer vacation. We aim to go beyond the limitations of passive and standardized traditional curricula, expand students’ learning opportunities through self-directed learning, and focus on cultivating interdisciplinary talent that meets the demands of society.”
